Happy 4th of July

Remove Formatting from selection
In 1776, John Adams suggested that the 4th of July be celebrated with pomp and parade, games, sports, guns, bonfires and illuminations from one end of the country to the other. Hope you have a wonderful 4th with family and friends.

Miniature Fairy Gardens

Create your own miniature garden! We carry a wide assortment of all the accessories you need to create a little garden haven. This one was planted in an old tin antique picnic basket but you can use just about anything that will hold dirt. An old basket, suitcase or even a drawer would make a great container. Add a trellis, chairs, benches, fencing and paving stones. Then for finishing touches: beeskeps, birdhouses, urns, birdbaths, and even little garden tools. Choose plants according to whether you plan to keep it in shade or sun This one features angel vine on the trellis and a fern. In the small urn is a little sprig of hen and chicks which doesn't require much soil. This is a great project to do with kids or grandkids this summer. It also makes a great gift!

Spring Opening

Well the day is finally here! The Garden Barn opens for spring debut on Apr. 3rd. I wanted to give you a sneak preview of some of the new products that I have in. I have been collecting vintage treasures over the winter as well as unpacking shipments from our Pennsylvania buying trip.

These mushrooms are a fun addition to your miniature fairy gardens. We carry a great selection of miniature garden accessories such as chairs, benches, trellises, little garden tools, and watering cans. Mushrooms can also be tucked in a niche in your flowerbed, patio or container gardens.

Bring the freshness of spring into your home with a new wreath or centerpiece. We have some beautiful silk flowers that look so real!--- without the fuss!
Vintage seed packs and botanical prints of flowers and ferns and bird nests by Morris, Pratt and Lowe will bring a touch of nature indoors.

Inspirational word stones have been very popular and make a great gift. Trellises and garden sculptures can add an artistic touch to your garden or yard. I also have in a great selection of Guy Wolff pottery, mossy pots and cast iron urns. I'm sure many of us can hardly wait to start gardening again.

Hope to see you in April!

Spring - Hope Renewed

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb 11:1
Every spring I marvel at the first sight of green in my garden. What a miracle that anything could survive the cold and snow of winter, especially this one! That first green leaf is enough to restore my faith in the future.

May you have a wonderful Easter!
Enjoy the first signs of spring and the hope that it brings!
